Walking is the very essence of Sapa. The best conditions are in spring (April-May) and autumn (September-November), offering mild temperatures and paths that are not muddy.

When to photograph Sapa?

For mirroring landscapes (water in terraces), choose May. For golden rice waves rippling in the wind, aim for mid-September. Spectacular seas of clouds on Fansipan are common early morning from November to January.
